We enjoyed the beautiful Golfo Aranci by staying in this very beautiful hotel. The staff was professional and helpful. The restaurant of the hotel is really good. The staff are doing an amazing job. They work from early morning to the late night and still manage to give a great welcoming smile to the guests. The area is quiet and perfect for a relaxing vacation. The massage was great as well. The manager was showing interest in our well-being and kind. We were very happy for our stay.

Gabbiano Azzurro is a world class hotel and staying here truly felt like a dream. Upon arrival, we received the warmest welcome from the sweet, kind staff at reception. The hotel itself and the lounge is charming, bright and the perfect balance between elegant and rustic. We swooned at how stunning our room was; we had dual aspect 180° panoramic windows which made the room feel like you are sleeping and floating by the sea. Dazzling sunlight poured in and the view from our room number 106 was simply breathtaking. The bed was very comfortable with lovely crisp cotton sheets. The bathroom was gorgeous too. Each day, the friendly housekeepers would return at multiple points to bring extra fluffy towels. Our room was ready early at 11 which was appreciated after a very early flight that morning. My favourite thing about the room was waking up and watching the sunrise from bed. The location of the hotel is fabulous on the Golfo Aranci, a coast which offers spectacular natural scenery along the cape. We loved exploring this area on a boat trip and enjoyed seeing a pod of dolphins very closeby. Golfo Aranci train station is walkable - 20 mins. One of the beaches - Cala Moresca - used in a recent big movie, is a 1h hike from the hotel. Now to our favourite - the hotel beach! This beach was truly one of the most alluring beaches we found in Northern Sardinia - think calm, clear, turquoise shallow waters and white, fine, fluffy sand. The hotel buffet breakfast was excellent and had a wide array of juice, fruit, cereals and muesli, hot breakfast goods, cheese, meats, bread, cakes and so on. The breakfast waiters would bring you barista style coffees too. We enjoyed our experience at the Blu restaurant and we adored dinner at a gazebo on the beach. Having the beach to ourselves for dining during a radiant sunset, listening to the soothing tide was one of the most romantic moments of my life. It felt like a movie moment. Thank you to Antonella for arranging this. I’m a seasoned traveller and I’ve explored a lot of Italy - I found the pricing of this hotel to be competitive with other 4 star hotels of this calibre. There is something special about this hotel and I believe it is the team who go the extra mile to make it such a wonderful experience. It is rare to find such attentiveness, professionalism and sincere passion and pride. The team seemed to be very happy and well cared for and in turn the guests sense the warm atmosphere and culture. Nothing was too much trouble, the team helped us with requests for extra duvets and helped us arrange activities and taxis. I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly and at some point in the foreseeable future I yearn to return. I’m blown away by this experience. I’ve stayed at other amazing hotels, but this hotel has something unique. I miss this hotel, the team and the beach tremendously. Until next time. Ti amo, Gabbiano Azzurro!

I really want to give this place 5 stars, because it truly is a beautiful property in a great location, and we had a good time, but there needs to be some improvements. Reviewing local rental properties, you can get similar value for WAY less money, so do your research, but keep in mind this was a LOT of money to stay here. The good: -Location - right next to A beautiful sandy beach with shallow, calm water. -Rooms - large rooms and even the standard, village facing had a large balcony and the biggest shower we had anywhere we stayed in Italy. You also had your own air conditioning unit with full control. -Great front desk staff that was eager to help with recommendations, reservations, etc. -Room was ready early (by 11 am), and they let us in and let us use the facilities which was amazing! Even after check out, we stayed most of the day by the pool due to a night flight, and I really appreciate the kind staff and management for allowing this. -The breakfast was great, especially the pastries and I wish they had the onion rings every day! The cappuccinos were also great and quickly made! Pro tip - you can make a little sandwich for lunch later on. What needs improvement: -While the pool itself is gorgeous, they need more sun beds and a better process of utilizing them. There were two separate and relatively angry verbal arguments between people about sun beds, mostly because people leave their towels in the morning, and then leave for hours. There are also a few sun beds that are reserved for certain rooms and that wasn’t clear. They have this grassy area in one corner and I just wonder if they can turn that into a patio and add a few more sun beds that they desperately need. -On top of the money you pay, you need to pay 50 euro for the front row, or 30 euro for the 2nd to 4th row of sun beds on the beach and you get 2 beds and an umbrella. I honestly think you should get one day free, or at least half the price of where they have it, or maybe add on a free beer/glass of wine/discount on food or something to give this more value. -The restaurant was just not that great. It was more expensive than other options nearby (go try Vecchio Semaforo!) and the quality just wasn’t there and we heard several other guests say the same thing. -There were a couple of staff experiencing symptoms of cold/flu and both my wife and I got the same symptoms within a few days of arriving and being in contact with that staff. If your staff is sick let them stay home and not get guests sick!

Excellent location. Beautiful hotel and pool. There is direct access to the beach. Sun lounges can be booked and rented. Superb breakfast with an abundance of choice. Ate at the terrace restaurant a few times for both late lunch and dinner and the service and food was excellent.
